Pompeii, Italy

I can see why these people so famously and catastrophically died in a volcanic explosion. It has got to be within the top 3 hottest places I’ve ever visited, and that is really saying something. They say that the reason that the bodies were so well preserved was because of the lack of air and moisture in the area. I can attest to that as well. As you walk through the ruins of this ancient city, the scorching temperatures and dry heat can really help you envision the events that took place on that fateful day.

Pro-Tip: Bring along a cooling scarf/bandana/towel. There are many effective products on the market, and they make all the difference in the world.
