Petra, Jordan

Perhaps the hottest climate I have ever experienced, Petra Jordan certainly brought the heat. And not just any heat; the kind of heat that leaves you questioning whether or not you’re actually standing directly on the sun’s surface. In addition to the temperature, this visit also included random people jumping out from behind rocks trying to sell souvenirs, detachable toilet seats that are kindly provided by bathroom attendants, extensive sexual harassment, and crippling dehydration. Needless to say, it was an experience.

Pro-tip: Do not, under any circumstances, go in the summertime. It is literally 115 degrees.
