Tallinn, Estonia

In general, travel involves taking a bit of a risk. You want to experience as much as you can and sleep therefore may fall by the wayside. Unfortunately, at some point this will inevitably catch up to you. Such was the case when I stayed up the majority of the night in Helsinki, Finland but needed to catch a ferry to Tallinn the following morning. As you might have guessed, I overslept, missed the ferry, and wound up sleeping in a park for about 4 hours until the next one.

Pro-tip: If you know you need to function the following day, give your body a break. Or, if you’d rather live life on the edge, make sure you’ve got a pillow for your nap in the park.
