We were having an amazing day exploring Brac and all its surrounding beaches when Hamer unexpectedly stepped on a sea urchin underwater and simultaneously scratched his hand really badly while trying to catch himself on a nearby rock. When we were finally able to get him out of the water, we had to try to take the spikes out of his foot but he was bleeding pretty badly. Hopefully there are none left in there, because people said if they get stuck in your skin they could get infected! We still enjoyed the rest of our day but we had to do a lot of cleaning and antibacterial work when we got back from the island.
Pro-tip: Always pack basic first aid equipment. Or, when in a pinch, socks work great to stop bleeding.
