We began our day in Croatia, but my dad wanted to explore somewhere new, so we decided to rent a car and drive to neighboring Montenegro. We had a great day and on the way back I noticed my dad cut it too close and ran a red light. He said there is no way he did that. Well the cop sirens that came up a few seconds later seemed to prove me right. My dad still said no way, those sirens were too delayed to be for him. It was for him. The cops had him get out and go to their car for an extended period of time. My sister and I started to freak out. Finally he emerged from the car and was smiling and laughing with the cops. We were very confused. The cops said he ran the light and would have let him go, but saw the Croatian plates and decided to pull him over. Apparently those countries don’t like each other too much.
Pro tip: Pay attention to all road lights and signs. Especially in a foreign country.
